More than 35 years ago, passionate motorsports fans decided to bring the first high-performance rally to life in Baie-des-Chaleurs, a picturesque region located on the southern coast of the Gaspé Peninsula in eastern Quebec. Since then, this competition has become an iconic event in the world of motorsports. In those early years, the Datsun 510, Toyota Celica and Triumph TR7 were the undisputed stars, sharing the honor of winning the prestigious "Rallye Baie des Chaleurs". These vehicles demonstrated their skill and power in the challenging stages of the rally, leaving an indelible mark on the history of the competition.

However, as time has progressed, cars have evolved and adapted to the demands of speed and performance. Today, names like the Mitsubishi Evo, Subaru WRX & STI and Volkswagen Golf stand out as the most prominent contenders in the fight to conquer the 200km of demanding stages that make up the rally in its current form.

This year, we are proud to announce that the Peralta Racing Team is among the featured participants in the rally. Our team has qualified in several renowned automotive championships, including the Canadian Rally Championship, Ontario Performance Rally Championship, Eastern Canada Rally Championship, North American Rally Cup, and the Canadian Rally Championship.
